Its licensing structure separates <strong>\u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430, \u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 Body and \u0437\u0430\u043c\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043e\u0435 \u0441\u043e\u0435\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435<\/strong>, while \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 bodies and \u0437\u0430\u043c\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043e\u0435 \u0441\u043e\u0435\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435s may also be licensed for PSL 1, PSL 2 and PSL 3. API currently lists \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s E, X, G, S and V as \u0441\u043a\u0432\u0430\u0436\u0438\u043d\u0430 as sour-service \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s SS75, SS95 and SS105 within the 5DP licensing framework.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That distiNCtion matters.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A \u0437\u0430\u0432\u043e\u0434 producing only \u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 bodies does not automatically demonstrate the same capability as a plant that \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0438\u0437\u0432\u043e\u0434\u0441\u0442\u0432\u043es and releases the completed assembly with weld-on \u0437\u0430\u043c\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043e\u0435 \u0441\u043e\u0435\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435s.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before approving a \u043f\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0430\u0432\u0449\u0438\u043a, check:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Co\u041c\u041f\u0430ny and facility name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.octalsteel.com\/resources\/drill-pipe-specification\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">API 5DP<\/mark><\/a> certificate status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensed product scope<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s covered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PSL capability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether finished \u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 assemblies are iNCluded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">API provides a real-time Composite List that shows active, expired, suspended and other certIFication statuses. Poor upset geometry can create an unfavorable stress coNCentration even when the nominal \u0440\u0430\u0437\u043c\u0435\u0440 and \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441 are correct.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u0442\u0435\u0440\u043c\u043e\u043e\u0431\u0440\u0430\u0431\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0430 then establishes the required mechanical properties for \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s such as <strong>E75, X95, G105 and S135<\/strong>. The important point is not only whether one test result meets the requirement, but whether the same mechanical-property range can be maintained across the production lot.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A \u0441\u043a\u0432\u0430\u0436\u0438\u043d\u0430-controlled \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0438\u0437\u0432\u043e\u0434\u0438\u0442\u0435\u043b\u044c should be able to connect the upset and heat-treatment records with the corresponding tensile, \u0442\u0432\u0435\u0440\u0434\u043e\u0441\u0442\u044c and i\u041c\u041f\u0430ct-test results. The finished \u0441\u043e\u0435\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435 should remain traceable back to the relevant production and heat-treatment lot.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Friction Welding Should Be Treated as a Major QualIFication Point<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friction welding joins the upset \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 body to the \u0437\u0430\u043c\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043e\u0435 \u0441\u043e\u0435\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0435 and is therefore one of the most important stages in finished \u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 production. Alignment, welding para\u043c\u0435\u0442\u0440s, flash removal and post-weld treatment all influeNCe the condition of the final weld zone.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Current API 5DP requirements limit weld-zone \u0442\u0432\u0435\u0440\u0434\u043e\u0441\u0442\u044c to <strong>37 HRC maximum or equivalent for \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s E, X, G and S<\/strong>, while \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441 V uses a maximum of <strong>40 HRC<\/strong>. The \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0438\u0437\u0432\u043e\u0434\u0438\u0442\u0435\u043b\u044c should be able to show how these values are verIFied and how the results are linked to the \u0441\u0432\u0430\u0440\u043d\u043e\u0439 production lot.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A useful traceability chain is:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pipe body ID \u2192 Tool joint ID \u2192 Welding batch \u2192 Hardness result \u2192 NDT result \u2192 Finished joint marking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ask for Real Mechanical and I\u041c\u041f\u0430ct-Test Records<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another useful way to distinguish manufacturing capability is to ask for recent test reports from actual production.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">API 5DP \u0441\u043f\u0435\u0446\u0438\u0444\u0438\u043a\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044fIFies measurable Charpy V-notch i\u041c\u041f\u0430ct requirements.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, for PSL-1 \u0431\u0443\u0440\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0442\u0440\u0443\u0431\u0430 bodies in \u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441s X, G, S and V, the current metric table gives a <strong>minimum average absorbed energy of 54 J for full-\u0440\u0430\u0437\u043c\u0435\u0440 10 \u00d7 10 mm \u0441\u043f\u0435\u0446\u0438\u0444\u0438\u043a\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044fimens<\/strong>, with a minimum individual \u0441\u043f\u0435\u0446\u0438\u0444\u0438\u043a\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044fimen value of <strong>47 J<\/strong>, at a test temperature of <strong>21\u00b0C \u00b13\u00b0C<\/strong>.
